Brief
Create a promotional poster and postcard to encourage people to join Not in our Town (NIOT).
Concept
Not in Our Town is an organization committed to stopping the hate, addressing bullying, and building an inclusive community. The concept behind my poster was to make a passive audience into an active participant. I wanted to place the viewer in the perspective of being part of a movement, taking action towards social justice. The words are all correlated to what happens when you join the movement. You become an ally. You promote love and stop the spread of hate. You help minorities uprise out of oppression. Ultimately, this poster represents how joining NIOT will make a positive change in the community.
